Clerk announces filing period for school board

Poinsett county clerk Fonda Condra announced June 18 is the first day candidates can begin circulating petitions for the Tuesday, Sept. 16 school election. Petitions must contain 20 signatures of registered voters from candidate's zone or district.

The first day to file petitions and political practice pledge with the clerk is noon, July 11, the deadline is noon, July 18.
