Two down, one to go

Family reunions really aren't that bad. Really. Mine aren't anyway. But I am just lucky enough to be part of a crazy and eccentric family.

Whenever multiple members of my family are gathered in one spot, hilarity usually ensues. And my recent Rouse family reunion was no exception.

Of course they were kids running around crazy, piles of pictures to dig through, lots of food, picture taking and visiting.

My day started off crazy when my sister, aunt and cousin arrived to ride with me and I was just getting out of the shower. My electricity had gone off sometime Friday and I didn't notice all my clocks were flashing. Anyway, I thought I was early and I was actually an hour and half behind.

So not wanting to miss out on fresh from the grill hot dogs and hamburgers, I snapped into action and had my sister, Mallory, and cousin, Roclyn, running around my house trying to help me get ready and make my mud cookies. I had made my Stinky Breath Dip before taking a shower, and let me just say, I am a tad messy when I work in the kitchen.

My aunt, Sondra, came in and her jaw dropped. She wanted to know what had happened to my kitchen, it was clean the night before and now it was a disaster. I just can't help it. I have to mess everything up to cook.

We finally made to our Lake City destination, just in time to slide in line for great food. Although we didn't have as much trouble getting there as another family member who will remain unnamed, who went to the wrong family reunion. She walked into the Trumann Community House and didn't recognize anyone, and had to call and see where she was supposed to be. I promised I wouldn't reveal her name.

I came home full of hot dogs and cinnamon rolls, so I would consider it a great success. Oh and I have to say hello to my great-aunt Reba!
