Poinsett County Assessor, Johnny Rye, Jr. announced that additional funding of approximately $62,000 will be coming to the County over the next few months.
The funds are coming by way of a Workman's Compensation safety award of $23, 609.
as well as an additional $24,000 of turnback funding for July which will be added to the normal July amount of $14,000.
Rye learned of and applied for theses funds while attending state conferences over the past few weeks.
"The total amount of unexpected and expected fundings will total approximately $62,000," Rye said. "Hopefully this will help the county during the 'dry' period during June, July and August each year."
