"We went to the city shop to get some reflective cones and were going to put them out because there were no street lights and no power so people wouldn't run in to it and get into an accident," said assistant chief Tony Rusher. "He went to put some cones near some debris and a large limb fell from a tree and struck him."
Blagg was with his father when the accident happened. Blagg's father used the police radio to call for help around 8:48 p.m. Blagg was transported to NEA Hospital in Jonesboro where he was later pronounced dead.
"According to the paramedics it was pretty instant," Rusher said.

I just wanted to say I was very sorry to hear about Mr. Blagg. It is really sad....I only hope the rest of the TPD will continue his fight against the drugs in Poinsett count. May GOD be with his family and friends. My deepest sympathies are with his family and the people of Trumann.

This was a real shock, and a great loss to Trumann and its residents, my deepest condolences go out to his wife Tammy, and his child & mom and dad, I pray that the TPD continue his fight against the drugs that's in Poinsett County. My sympathies to the Officers & staff of the Trumann Police Department...
