Perkins was born July 14, 1913, in Ravenden Springs and was the daughter of Elisha Walter Brown and Ella Lobelia Harward Brown. She lived in Tyronza and Ravenden Springs, before moving to Forrest City. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the House Demonstration Club and of the Lindauer Road Church of Christ.
Perkins married Thomas Oliver Perkins in 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1992. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Thomas Harold Perkins of Bradenton, Fla., Charles Eli Perkins and wife Deloris of Smyma, Ga. and Dr. Donald Raymond Perkins and wife Ruth of Forrest City; five grandchildren, Thomas Harold Perkins, Jr. and wife Meara of Los Angeles, Calif., John Charles Perkins of Las Vegas, Nev., Charles W. Rowell and wife Julie of Prattville, Ala., Michael Keith Perkins and wife Jan of Little Rock and Kristen West and husband Phil of Springdale; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, at the Lindauer Road Church of Christ in Forrest City with the burial in Tyronza Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home of Forrest City was in charge of the arrangements.
