M. Orville Halsey, 59, of Trumann, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born in Jonesboro and had lived in Trumann since 1972. He was also formerly of Lake City. He was an employee of Delta Tool Box and a member of the Landmark Worship Center. Mr.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Edward Halsey and his parents, Victor and Myrtle Laforce Halsey. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Barnes Halsey of the home; two stepsons, Robert Wayne Arnold of Bycrus, Mo., and Duane Arnold of Trumann; three sisters, Jewell Halsey Gee, Alice Halsey Williams and Edith Halsey all of Trumann; one brother, Wayne Halsey of Trumann; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, June 4 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. David Adams and Rev. Bill Nunnally officiating. Burial followed in the Monette Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Lock, Bryan Lock, Larry Parnell, Ronnie Carter, Brett Parker and Zack Battles.
Honorary pallbearers were Lloyd Rhoads, Duane Arnold, Tommy Birdsell and Floyd K. Carter.
