A body found early Tuesday morning behind Ritter Grain on Adamson Road in Marked Tree has been identified as Harold Wood, 39, of Marked Tree.
A Ritter Grain employee found the body behind the property's grain bins early this morning. Police arrived at the scene around 6 a.m., and Wood was pronounced dead by the county coroner.
Criminal Investigation Division Detective Jeremy Bond of the Marked Tree Police Department said the body has been sent to the state crime lab, but officials don't suspect any foul play at this time.
"We don't know the exact time of death right now," said Bond. "One witness reported seeing Wood at 2 a.m. so we know the death occurred sometime after that."
Bond said the cause of death is still undetermined, pending an autopsy.
"We're not expecting any foul play," said Bond. "There's some evidence he might have went up to the top of the grain bins."
