Hobert Dale "Bud" Smith

Hobert Dale "Bud" Smith, 68, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, June 17 at the family residence.

He was born in Trumann and had lived in Jonesboro for the past 30 years. He was a tool and die machinist, a veteran of the U.S. Army and of the Vietnam War and of the Church of Christ faith.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by one sister, Irma Hindman; two brothers Ricky K. Smith and Ronald A. Smith and was the son of the late Hobert Martin and Flossie Pauline Christy Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Reed Smith of the home; one son, Floyd Dale and Susan Smith of Wilson N.C.; one grandson, Bradley Dale Smith of Wilson, N.C.; three sisters, Jane McAnally, Gail and Alvin Swan; and Marsha and Van Summerford all of Jonesboro; one brother, Billy James and Gracie Smith of Modesto, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were Saturday in the Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland with Charles Bradsher officiating. Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann handled the arrangements.
