Welcome to your new paper

As you picked up your hometown paper this week you might have noticed a little something different about the front page. The Tri-City Tribune and Trumann Democrat have merged to form the Poinsett County Democrat Tribune. We are all so excited about the change, and all the new things we will have to offer you, our readers.

Some of you in other areas of the county may be enjoying our paper for the first time this week. Please let me take this opportunity to say hello. I hope you'll become a regular part of our family of readers.

We hope you like the new design of the paper, but I hope you'll take the time to browse the pages and enjoy the wide variety of stories from across the county. You'll find the same news you've always come to expect from your hometown paper with the addition of new information about some of your neighbors and friends.

If you read our paper online, you will also notice that our website has changed. If you are used to logging on to one of the old websites, you'll be redirecting to our new website, www.democrattribune.com. If you were a registered user of the previous sites you won't have to do anything to enjoy commenting on the new site. Your username and password will still be the same. Those who aren't registered may still register for a free user account. We hope you'll stop by to comment on an article or vote in one of our online polls.
