LOUDON, Tenn. -- Ronnie Darnell Hayworth, Sr., died Friday, June 26, 2009 at his home. Many Marked Tree residents may remember Hayworth. He was one of the Vietnam veterans who visited last September while the "Wall that Heals" visited Marked Tree. Although he was facing terminal cancer, Hayworth's family helped push his wheelchair to the traveling Wall so he could see his brother's name.

Hayworth was preceded in death by parents and stepmother, two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ida Scott Hayworth; son, Ronnie Hayworth, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Selena and Sam Lowe; sisters, Cecilia Hayworth, Beverly Key, Teresa Hayworth, Jo Ann Hayworth and Gail Johnson; brothers, Bryant and Wilma Hayworth, Harold and Sue Hayworth, Robert and Rosemary Hayworth, all of Morristown.

Funeral services were Sunday at Loudon Funeral Home chapel with The Rev. Maynard Scott and Rev. Austin Lowe officiating. Burial followed in Monday Loudon County Memorial Gardens.
