Ellen Ruthie Qualls, 76, of Trumann died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at her residence.
She was born in Salem and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a retired homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
Mrs. Qualls was preceded in death by two sisters; a great-grandchild, Madison Wilson; and her parents, Horace and Velma Secrease Barnett.
Survivors include her husband, Ottie Qualls of the home; four daughters, Shirley Vaughn and Penny Maxwell, both of Trumann, Peggy Byram of Jonesboro and Janet Blancett of Lake City; one sister, Belle Spaulding of Trumann; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 19 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Revs. Bobby Russell and Bill Maxwell officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.Active Pallbearers were Jim Baker, Chris Holmes, Dan Holmes, Ronnie Cravens, Billy Baker and Larry Austin.
Honorary Pallbearers included Freddie Jenkins, Tommy Holmes, James Evans, and Brandon Wright, Tim Austin and Russell Cravens.
