Randall Clay Evans, 37, of Harrisburg, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009, in Jonesboro.

Mr. Evans was born in Aurora, Ill., and had lived most of his lifetime in the Harrisburg area. He was a construction worker and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Deanna Jean Evans.

Survivors include two sons, Ian Evans and Nathan Evans both of Bono; two step-daughters, Paige Brown and Trish Brown both of Bono; his father, Delbert Evans of Harrisburg; one brother, Allen Gaskins of Jonesboro; and three sisters, Regina Hudgens of Jonesboro, Rhonda Poff of Harrisburg, and Devonda Pillow of Marmaduke.

Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 18 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Melton Cowling officiating. Burial followed in the Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg.

Active pallbearers were Todd Pillow, Mike Hudgens, Scott Carter, Cory Carter, Daniel Poff, and Jayson Cunnigham.

Honorary pallbearers were Grady McGuire, Roger Evans, Matt Fahr, and Brad Swanner.
