GoogleA member of First United Methodist Church in Marked Tree, he farmed in Crittenden County for 52 years. He had several farming operations in seven states, but his primary farm was in Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tom Hatley, Sr; parents Sam and Vanna Hatley; sisters Gladis "Dude" McClesky and Shirley Gardner; and brothers WL "Bud" Hatley, Fred Hatley and Roy Hatley.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Luddie Bell Hatley; sons Terry Hatley (Sherry) of Marked Tree and Sammy C. Hatley, Jr. (Rhonda) of Marked Tree; daughter Tammy Hatley of Marion; six grandchildren, Josh Hatley, Sarah Gore, TW Hatley Culpepper, Jr, Zachary Hatley, Sammy C. Hatley III and Zachary Highfill; five great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
A memorial service was held Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Marked Tree with Ron Williams officiating. Murphy Funeral home was in charge of the arrangments.
