Trumann native named AG press secretary
LITTLE ROCK -- Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel announced Monday that Aaron Sadler of Little Rock has joined his office as the new Press Secretary.
Sadler comes to the Attorney General's office from the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, where he has served as spokesman for the past year. Before that, he was a government and politics reporter for Stephens Media bureaus in Washington and Little Rock.
"Aaron brings more than a decade of communications experience to the Attorney General's office, and I'm glad he will be working for me and the people of Arkansas," McDaniel said. "We're excited to have him here, and I know he looks forward to continuing his work and relationships with the state's media."
Sadler, a Trumann native, is a graduate of Arkansas State University. He got his start in communications at age 13 as a sports writer for the weekly Trumann Democrat. He has also worked at the Jonesboro Sun and at the Times Record in Fort Smith.
He replaces Gabe Holmstrom, who resigned earlier this year to become a senior adviser for the Arkansas Democratic Party.
