Trumann police officer saves child's life

At 5 a.m., May 12, the Trumann Police Department received a call from a hysterical woman that her one year old son was not breathing. Officer Jonathan Schmidt of Trumann was the first to arrive on the scene. He immediately took control of the situation and located the child to confirm he was not breathing. Schmidt quickly began to before CPR and he was successfully able to get the child breathing by the time the ambulance arrived.
