A Marked Tree man was taken to the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital after a couple allegedly beat and stabbed the victim.

Neal Pullen, 47, and his wife Trina Pullen, 40, of 8th Street Marked Tree were arrested after a 911 call was received stating that there had been a stabbing on 9th Street.

According to the police, on Wednesday June 30, Brandon Roark, 33, of Marked Tree had gotten into a verbal dispute with Neal Pullen. Trina Pullen allegedly then struck Roark three times with a baseball bat while her husband stabbed Roark on the wrist. Pullen was trying to stab Roark in the chest but the victim blocked the knife with his hands.

Another person, a juvenile tried to break up the dispute and was accidentally stabbed in the finger. Both Roark and the juvenile were taken to Jonesboro to the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.

The Pullen couple at this time are being held on $1000 bond. They will be arraigned August 27 in the Poinsett County Circuit Court.
