TRUMANN -- Mrs. Beatrice Lunna, 89, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at the Trumann Health and Rehab Center in Trumann.
She was born in Saulsbury, Tenn., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a homemaker, retired factory worker and member of the Viva Drive Church of Christ. She loved crafts and making floral arrangements.
She loved her children and her family very much and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Mrs. Luna was preceded in death by her husband, L.K. Luna; one daughter, Mary Ann Burgess; one grandson, Larry Luna; one sister, and her parents, Melton and Stella Young Parrish.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Beebe of Trumann; three sons, Howard Luna of Trumann, David Luna of Brookland and Jerry Luna of Cabot; one sister, Helen Brock of Walnut Ridge; a grandson whom she raised, Garland Burgess; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Gary Hill officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark.
Active pallbearers were Jerry McKinney, Rhew Bales, Quenton Fletcher, J.C. Daniels, Harry Vredinburgh and Howard Luna.
Visitation was Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
