TRUMANN - Mr. Jessie Karl Morrison, 59, of Trumann died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at the V.A. Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.

Mr. Morrison was born in and was a lifetime resident of Trumann. He was a retired machinist, veteran of the U.S. Army and of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and restoring old cars.

Mr. Morrison was the son of the late Elvis and Murline Hervey Morrison.

Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Boyle of Trumann; one son, Scottie Morrison of Trumann; two sisters, Katherine Thompson of Trumann and Carolyn Hargrove of O'Fallon, Mo.; two brothers, Lynn Morrison and Ronnie Morrison, both of Trumann; two grandchildren, and two very special people, Michael and Randy Blagg.

Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Kenneth Doke officiating. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark.

Active pallbearers were Shawn Walker, Anthony Baker, Michael Blagg, Randy Blagg, Bobby Manes and Gary Manes. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Thompson, Wayne Hargrove and George Henry.

Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
