The Lady Indians of Marked Tree scored a hug win Monday night at home, topping the Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats, 72-65.

The duo of Alytrius Perry and Quanesia Perry provided enough offense for a small country, uniting for a total of 57 points. Alytrius Perry had a game-high 29 points for Marked Tree. Quanesia Perry was right behind, netting 28 on the night while burying 12 of 13 from the free throw line.

The Lady Indians led 38-31 at intermission and were up 10, 56-46, going into the fourth quarter.

Walnut Ridge was paced by a pair of double-doubles. Katie Lewis notched 28 points and 10 rebounds for the visitors. Audrey McElrath added 19 points and 10 boards for the Lady Bobcats.

Marked Tree dropped the junior high game, falling to Walnut Ridge, 37-36.

BIC Loss

The Lady Indians were downed at home last Thursday, falling to Buffalo Island Central, 56-41.

Alytrius Perry scored a game-high 21 for the Marked Tree in the loss. Quanesia Perry chipped in 12 points on the night.

BIC was led by Brittany Fowler 15 points and 10 assists. Hayley Parker also had a double-double for the visitors, finishing with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Marked Tree fell in the junior high meeting, 38-35.

The Lady Indians are slated to host Cross County beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10. The Junior Lady Indians are slated to take part in the junior district tourney at Cherry Valley beginning Feb. 7. The Senior Lady Indians will take part in the district tournament at Caraway beginning on Feb. 14.
