Billy Neil Heckmann
Billy Neil Heckmann, 80, of Jonesboro passed away Friday, April 15, 2011, at NEA Baptist Hospital.
He was born Dec. 4, 1930, in Harrisburg to John C. and Dorothy (Henderson) Heckmann.
Mr. Heckmann worked 28 years at the Singer Company and 13 years at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was a member of the County Line Church of Christ and loved knifemaking.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rayburn Heckmann.
Survivors include his loving wife, Imogene (Muse) Heckmann; two sons, Jerry (Jackie) Heckmann of Little Rock and Brad (June) Heckmann of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, John (Camille) Heckmann and Brian (Amber) Heckmann, all of Little Rock, and Jessica Heckmann of Jonesboro; a great-grandchild, Kinsley Heckmann of Little Rock, and a sister, Sue Everhart of Trumann.
Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
Services were at 10 a.m. Monday, April 17, at the funeral home chapel with William Fortson officiating. Burial followed at Harrisburg Memorial Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ronnie Everhart, Steve Rorex, John Heckmann, Bill Byrd, Brian Heckmann and Odell Everhart.
Herbert Rudder, Harry New, Charles Qualls and the men of the County Line Church of Christ served as honorary pallbearers.
