Occasionally forgetting things is normal as one gets older. However, memory loss which disrupts daily activities is not a normal part of aging. If memory loss is becoming a frequent problem, it could be an early sign of Alzheimer's Disease. Early detection of Alzheimer's is important in order for the patient to receive the proper care needed and plan for the future.
