Mrs. JoAnn Conatser, 75, of Trumann died February 9, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born in Strawberry, Arkansas to the late Dene West and Ruth (Mullen) West. Mrs. Conatser was a loving wife and dedicated mother, school teacher for the Bay, Scranton and Hazen School Districts and a home health worker. Mrs. Conatser spent most of her life in Trumann where she was on the Board of Directors for the Lions Club, Eastern Star and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was active in the Awana and Wings Programs, enjoyed gardening and helping others. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary West; her husband James Russell Conatser; and a son, John Randall Conatser. She is survived by two sons Steve Allen Conatser of Trumann and Brian Keith Conatser of Russellville; three daughters, Cynthia Gail Barber (Kirk) of Radcliff, Kentucky, DeAnna Marie Harrison (Jason) of Spain, Jamie Ruth Neal (Derek) of Topeka, Kansas; brothers Danny West (Debbie) of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, David West of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters Helen Lackey (Lloyd) of Batesville and Patty Huskey of Saffell; sister-in-law Linda West of Strawberry; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were February 13, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Trumann with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial followed at the Milligan Campground Cemetery in Strawberry. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the First Baptist Church and Lions Club of Trumann. An online guest book can be signed at
