Bruce Allen "Jody" Davis
Mr. Bruce Allen "Jody" Davis died April 7, 2012, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 87.
He was born in Baldwin, Miss., and had lived in Trumann for the past 77 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by two sisters, six brothers and his parents, Harve H.D. and Jessie Mae Yeager Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Lessie Mearl Martin Davis of Trumann; two daughters, Connie West and Kimberly Combs, both of Deerfield, Kans.; three sons, James Davis of Fon Du Lac, Wisc., Lee Davis of Jonesboro and Tony Davis of Trumann; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services were April 9, 2012, in the chapel at Thompson Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Shaw and Rev. Ronnie Dye officiating. Burial followed in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Davis, Marvin Davis, Tommy Davis, Jackie Davis, Merritt Davis and Jeremy Combs. Honorary pallbearers were the grandchildren.
