Carol G. Stout
Mrs. Carol G. Stout of Trumann died April 4, 2012, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 73.
Mrs. Stout was born Dec. 1, 1938, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Herbert and Bernice Leaths Yuly. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Trumann.
Carol graduated from Minot High School in 1957. She worked for many years in the secretarial field. In 1972 Carol moved with her family from Minot, North Dakota, to Trumann. In 1975 she began a long and fulfilling career with the Trumann Police Department helping set up a records division.
She served as a secretary to the Chief of Police and became a certified Law Enforcement Officer. She retired after working 27 years with the City of Trumann Police Department.
Mrs. Stout was preceded in death by her father, Herbert L. Yuly; one brother, Allan Yuly, and two sisters, Delores Christianson and Kay Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry, of 54 years; one son, Jeffrey Stout and his wife Sherry of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one daughter, Stephanie Long of Trumann; three grandchildren, Joey, Katie and Ben Stout; her mother, Bernice Leaths Yuly of Minot, North Dakota; one sister, Linda Wolf, and one brother, Curtis Yuly, both of Minot, North Dakota.
Funeral services were April 7, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Trumann with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jerry Long, Josh Bradley, Tony Rusher, Randy Blagg and Donnie Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were Luther Blagg, Bill Teague, Osee Nunnally, Bob Jones, Sherman Wright and Ken Stockton.
