TRUMANN - Mrs. Stella M. Hollis, 105, of Trumann died April 29, 2012, at the family residence.

She was born in Aly, Ark., and had lived in Trumann for the past 10 years and was formerly of Jonesboro. Mrs. Hollis was a homemaker and a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Melvin Hollis; four daughters, Georgia Beatrice Hundley, Wanda Lee MacKinnon, Frances Jean McDaniel and Andrea June Gartman; two sons, Charles Calvin Hollis and John Ronald Hollis; three sisters, one brother, two grandchildren, and her parents, John and Maudie Lee Hammonds.

Survivors include two daughters, Noma Ruth MacKinnon of Warren, Mich., and Catherine Carter of Trumann; five sons, Max Melvin Hollis of DeQueen, Spencer Duane Hollis of Winder, Ga., Roy Douglas Hollis of Romeoville, Ill., Tom D. Hollis of Moorsville, Ind., and Gary W. Hollis of Louisiana, 45 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Bro. Joel McMasters officiating. Burial followed in the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.

Visitation was Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
