Earl "Sunny" Moon
HOT SPRINGS - Mr. Earl "Sunny" Moon, 67, of Hot Springs, died Monday, April 30, 2012.
He was born in Trumann, Ark., and received a business degree from the college in Monticello, Ark. He worked in management for International Harvester before retiring from Navistar International Truck.
For the past 10 years, Mr. Moon had lived in Hot Springs. Mr. Moon was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Wayne Moon Sr. and Myrene Finny Moon.
Survivors include his wife, Jodie Moon of Hot Springs, Ark.; one son, Maj. Cohn Moon of Enterprise, Ala.; one step-son, Kevin Johnson and wife Carol of Eads, Tenn.; one daughter, Amanda Shea Dore of Keller, Texas; one step-daughter, Michelle Beck and husband Jim of Collierville, Tenn.; one sister, Ruth Scott and husband Leroy of Springhill, Tenn.; half-sister, Suzanne Sloan and husband David of Trumann, Ark., and eight grandchildren.
Funeral service was Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Trumann with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating.
Visitation was Friday morning from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark., with Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
