Billy Lee "Forbee" Forbus
TRUMANN - Mr. Billy Lee "Forbee" Forbus, 69, of Trumann, Ark., died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the family residence.
He was born in Heber Springs, Ark., and had lived in Trumann for the past 48 years and was formerly of Mt. View, Ark. Mr. Forbus was a retired contractor and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Alice Schrock and Betty Jo Visculo; two brothers, Donnie Williams and Roy Williams, and his parents, Curtis and Mary Hanks Williams.
Survivors include three daughters, Shelley Stokes and husband Ken and LeAndrea Carter and husband Steven and Brooke Forbus and finance Zac Byerly, all of Trumann; two sons, L.J. Forbus and wife Lena and Roger Forbus and wife Kim of Trumann; four sisters, Sue Carroll, Betty Martin and Emma Daugherty, all of Mt. View, and Jane Richardson of Conway; three brothers, Billy Williams of Trumann, Jerry Williams of Batesville and Kenneth Forbus of Mountain Home, Ark., 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating. Graveside service was Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at Landis Cemetery near Marshall, Ark.
Pallbearers were L.J. Forbus, Roger Forbus, James Forbus, J.T. McAuliffe, Lee Forbus, Zac Byerly, Steven Carter and Mike Coleman.
Honorary pallbearers were Billy Williams Sr., Billy Williams Jr., Mike Sullivan, Chevy Sullivan, James "Peanut" Davis, Dennis Eldridge, Chris Adams and William Freezer Thompson.
Visitation was Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
