TRUMANN - Mrs. Imogene Ray, 83, of Trumann died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark.
She was born in Leachville, Ark., to the late Ollie and Addie Monroe Barnett. Mrs. Ray had lived in Trumann for the past 47 years and was formerly of Corning. She was a retired factory worker and of the Christian faith.
Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ray Sr.; one daughter-in-law, Janelle Ray; two sisters, three brothers and her parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Jane Ray Humes of Trumann, Marcella Ray Boswell of Trumann and Janet Schmidt and husband Wayne of Benton, Ark.; three sons, Frank Ray Jr. and (Connie) of Trumann, Rudy Ray and (Melissa) of Trumann and Ben Ray of Trumann; two brothers, Billy Medling of Flint, Mich., and J'bo Medling of Illinois; one sister, Pearl Ellis of Paragould, Ark., 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and her beloved pet Scooter.
Funeral services were May 25, 2012, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark., with Rev. M.W. Ray officiating. Burial followed in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, Ark.
Pallbearers were Wayne Schmidt, Jeremy Ferguson, Willie Ed Bullock, Frankie Ray, Brian Wilson and Vern Ray. Honorary pallbearer was Randall Ray.
