LITTLE ROCK -- Mrs. Erma Dell (Foxy) Croft Smith left this ordinary life and went to be in "High Cotton" with her Savior on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.

She was born Feb. 6, 1932, to the late James Hiram Croft and Clara Edwards in Greene County, Ark. Foxy was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Lee Smith and her son Gregory Dean Smith of Trumann, Ark.

She is survived by her daughters, Dayna (Bobby) Francis and Devona (Steve) Shelton of Little Rock; five grandsons, Colby, Taylor and Parker Francis, David and Jake Shelton; a brother, Dempsey Croft of Jonesboro, and a sister, Mary Dacus of Hemet, Calif.

Maw Maw, as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, was raised on a farm in Walcott, Ark., with 13 other siblings. She spent her last nine years living with her family and grandchildren. Her nurturing and passion for caring for others and unique laugh made her truly special to family and friends.

Graveside memorial services were held Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Linwood Mausoleum in Paragould, Ark. A reception followed for family and friends at the home of Michael and Susie Gairhan.
