Nancy Odell Williams Lowery

FLORIDA - Mrs. Nancy Odell Williams Lowery, 68, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away peacefully Monday, June 25, 2012. She was born March 8, 1944 in Fayetteville, Tenn., to Annie Bell McWhirter and George Pope Williams and was one of 13 children. She retired after 28 years of service in the Beecher School District in Flint, Mich. She enjoyed walking, gardening, shopping, reading and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jackson Leon Lowery; three daughters, Vickie L. (Louis A.) Perez of Jacksonville, Fla., Karen R. (Kenneth C.) Zoromski of Davison, Mich., and Tina M. (Ronald G) Vest of Harrisburg; one son, Richard A. (Shelly M.) Lowery of Morrice, Mich.; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Frances Lowery of Harrisburg, Linda Collins of Huntsville, Ala., Judy Garner of Paragould and Debra Benson of Trumann; and four brothers, Charles and Barry Williams of Trumann, Michael Williams of Jonesboro and Timothy Williams of Trumann.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.

Funeral service was Friday, June 29, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hale and Rev. Bobby Watts officiating. Burial was private.
