John F. Cook, Jr.
TRUMANN - Mr. John F. Cook, Jr., of Trumann passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, in Trumann. He was born in and was a lifetime resident of Trumann. Mr. Cook was retired from Roach Manufacturing in quality control, was a former member of the Trumann Jaycees and a member of First Baptist Church in Trumann.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jo Cook; parents, John Franklin "Bill" and Ethel Mae Hendrickson Cook Sr.; and three brothers, Jerry Cook, Robert Cook and Bill Cook.
He is survived by two sons, Johnny Lee Cook (Kay) of Trumann and Gary Wayne Cook (Debbie) of Trumann; three brothers, Tom Cook of Bradford, Ark., Charlie Cook of Walnut Ridge and Larry Cook of Hoxie; four sisters, Betty Lou Walker of Walnut Ridge, Peggy Sue Hastings of Oxford, Mass., Mary Ann Craig and Patricia Neece, both of Pocahontas; four grandchildren, Eric Cook, Jason Cook (Mandy), Tia Milligan and Zachary Cook; and five great-grandchildren, Chase Cook, Gavin Milligan, Noah Milligan, Kai Davis and Hayden Cook.
Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 31, at the First Baptist Church in Trumann with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial was in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann in charge.
Active pallbearers were Zachary Cook, Eric Cook, Jason Cook, Tim Cook, Shawn Cook and Roger McCarty. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Dungan, Russell Branum, Mike Mabe, Gail Grimes, Eugene Burks and Danny Smith.
