Trumann received the ball first and put together a nice drive that took almost all the first quarter getting down to the Junior Warriors 30-yard line only to see the first of Garrett Woods' four interceptions end the drive. Westside returned the ball out to midfield with 51 seconds left in the opening period. The first quarter ended with a 0-0 score.

The Junior Warriors wasted little time in the second quarter as they scored on a 52-yard pass play on third and twelve with 7:51 left in the quarter. The two-point play was no good leaving the score 6-0 Westside. Westside's defense scored the next points as Woods' pass was intercepted and returned for a 47-yard touchdown. The two-point conversion run was good to make the score 14-0 with 6:20 left before half. Trumann drove the ball down to the Junior Warriors 34-yard line where they turned the ball over on downs with 3:46 left in the second quarter. Westside added another score before half on a seven-yard run. The two-point play was no good making the score 20-0 with 1:18 left to play. Westside took that 20-0 score into the half time break.

Alex Santos opened the second half by kicking and recovering the onside kick for Trumann at midfield. The Junior Wildcats work the ball down to the Westside 39-yard line where Woods' pass was intercepted again with 6:07 left in the third quarter. Westside capitalized again on the turnover as they score on a 17-yard run to push the lead to 26-0. The two-point try is good setting the score at 28-0 with 3:12 left in the quarter. Trumann drove the ball down to the Junior Warriors eight-yard line as time ran out in the third quarter.

Trumann failed to complete the fourth down play and turned the ball over on downs with 7:47 left in the fourth quarter. Westside fumbled on the Junior Wildcats 17-yard line with Rico Moreno recovering the ball with 3:35 left in the game. Woods' fourth interception turned into points again as the Junior Warriors return it for a touchdown. The two-point was good making the score 36-0 with 3:20 left in the quarter. Trey Moody snares a pass off the Westside defenders hands and scores as time expires. Moody adds the two-point conversion to set the final score at 36-8 Westside.

"We threw the ball well, made a few mistakes but the line is working on it. We are getting better on our pass blocking," Trumann coach Cody Wallis said after the game.

Trey Moody finished the night with 270 all-purpose yards and a touchdown for the Junior Wildcats. Moreno had a fumble recovery on defense.

The Junior Wildcats will celebrate Homecoming this Thursday night as they host the Gosnell Junior Pirates. Game time is set for 7 pm.
