Alvin Richard Galloway
Mr. Alvin Richard Galloway, 83, of Trumann died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. He was born in Leachville, Ark., and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. Mr. Galloway was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and his parents, Clarence and Elizabeth Walker Galloway.
Survivors include his special friend, Freida Jones of the home; five daughters, Carolyn Hawkins, Linda Martin, Terrie Brown, Nancy Lamkins and Margaret Ball, all of Winterhaven, Fla.; two sons, Richard "Rick" Galloway and Dewayne Galloway, both of Bartow, Fla.; four sisters, Geraldine Cozart of Trumann, Christine Mullins of Hickory Ridge, Katherine Weaks of Tulot and Sible Williams of Myrtle, Miss.; two brothers, Norman Galloway of Calico Rock and Chester Galloway of Little Rock, Ark.
Funeral services were Oct. 4, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Harp officiating. Burial followed in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark.
