TRUMANN - Mrs. Sue V. "Susie" Sims, 82, of Trumann died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the family residence. She was born Oct. 6, 1929 in Hickory Ridge, Ark., and had lived in Trumann since 1947 and was formerly of Tuckerman. She was a retired factory worker from Salant & Salant and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her husband, Loyce A. "Bud" Sims, one sister, six brothers and her parents, Carl D. and Dora Adeline Yates Brooks.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Wallace of Trumann, Debra Ulrich and husband Richard of Watauga, Texas, and Karen Sue Hill and husband Raymond of Trumann; three sons, Robin Sims of Watauga, Texas, Kenny Sims and Jody Sims both of Trumann; two sisters, Darlene Harvey and Husband (Fred) of Hot Springs, Ark. and Arlene Brooks of Florissant, Mo.; two brothers, Lee Brooks and wife Helen and Tommy Brooks and wife Sandra both of Florissant; 16 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Oct. 1 at the Church of God of Prophecy on Christy Street in Trumann, with Sonny Winkles and Tommy Jordan officiating. Burial followed in the Willis Cemetery near Harrisburg, Ark., with Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Jason Cudd, Roger Hicks, Dustin Sims, Chris Johnson, Derek White, Vincent Herrera, Shawn Collier and Raymond Hill III.

Honorary pallbearers were Steven (Kelly) Moss, Roger Looney, Jessie Hill, Brock Hill and Wesley Hill.
