William Crawford "Bill" Bishop
Mr. William Crawford "Bill" Bishop, 85, of Trumann died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Trumann Health and Rehab Center. Mr. Bishop was born in Sylamore, Ark., to the late Albert and Nora Pinkston Bishop, and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a retired employee of the Singer Company in Trumann and a member of the McCormick Baptist Church.
Mr. Bishop was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Odell Wiley Bishop in 1999; one son, Jerry Bishop; four sisters; two brothers and his parents.
He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Dale (Patricia) Bishop of Trumann and Larry Dale (Lisa) Bishop of Bay; one daughter-in-law, Betty Bishop of Bay; one sister, Nora McCaughey of Little Rock; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Monday, Oct. 15, in the Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg with Rev. Rick Kimery officiating. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge.
Pallbearers were Gilbert Wiley, Kenneth Wiley, Mike Wiley, Eddie Hill, Tommy Kirkland and David Nelson. Honorary pallbearers were Sonny Parrish, Timmy Kirkland, Drew Kimery and Ricardo Canizales.
