Varsity round up: EPC rolls on

EPC continued their winning Friday night at Augusta as they ran their record to 8-0 with a 50-8 win. The win, along with Salem's win, sets up a showdown of undefeated teams in Lepanto Friday night.

Aaron Scales had a tremendous game for EPC as he completed 12 of 17 passes for 335 yards and five touchdown passes. Scales passed to his brother, freshman Malik Monk, for an 87-yard touchdown to open the scoring on the night. Monk finished with two catches for 116 yards. Caleb Harston had two touchdown catches, Tristan McDaniel and Quinn Young both had a touchdown catch. Blake Davis was good on five of seven extra-point tries and booted a 41-yard field goal.

Tristan McDaniel had 14 tackles on the night to lead the defense. Young and Monk both had an interception.

Marked Tree hosted McCrory this past Friday and their guests posted a 60-25 victory.

Darius Ivy led Marked Tree with 199 yards rushing a touchdown on the night. Octavius Dean scored two touchdowns and Chris Montague added a touchdown on the night.

Harrisburg reported no score or stats to the paper.
