Junior high season comes to an end

The junior high football season came to an end last week in Poinsett County. Harrisburg ended their season with a win while Marked Tree lost a close one.

Harrisburg was on the road last Thursday for their season finale at Hoxie. The Junior Hornets came away with a 24-12 victory to finish with a 3-6 record.

Connor Haag rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns to lead the offense. Dillon Russell added 55 yards rushing and touchdown on the night.

Malik Versie had six tackles to lead the defense.

Marked Tree hosted Rector last Tuesday for their last game and lost 22-20 to finish at 3-5 on the season.

DeAngelo Griffin rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns, Jaleel Lott ran for 86 yards and a touchdown while Blake Daniels added 56 yards rushing. Daniels also passed for 60 yards on the night.
