Marked Tree's Darius Ivy has never played in the state football playoffs. Ivy will get that chance this season as he helped the Indians to a 32-28 victory in Cherry Valley to secure a playoff spot.

Ivy rushed for 235 yards and scored three touchdowns for the Indians. Brody McCrary had a touchdown rushing and also connected with Dylan Hunt on a 38-yard touchdown pass. Octavius Dean added a two-point conversion reception on the night.

Marked Tree forced six turnovers on defense as Ivy had an interception and a fumble recovery. Cameron Mitchell also had an interception as Keland Perry recovered a fumble.

Marked Tree improves to 4-4 on the season.

Trumann and Cave City clashed in Trumann this past Friday as both teams were in search of their first win of the season. The game was back and forth until Cave City used three scores in the fourth quarter to down the Wildcats 57-40. Trumann fell to 0-9 on the year.

Cameron Wright and Josh Evan both surpassed the 100-yard mark in rushing on the night. Wright had 154 yard and four touchdowns while Evans added 101 yards and a touchdown. Cameron Jones rushed for 94 yards and A.J. Winningham had a rushing touchdown in the game. Nate Maxwell caught four passes for 113 yards for the Wildcats.

Wright recorded 11 tackles for the Wildcats defense while Heston O'Brien had seven tackles.
