EPC (5-5, 2-2 2A-3) picked up a couple wins this week in high school baseball. Clay Malone pitched a complete game as the Warriors beat Cross County 15-3 this past Monday at Cross County. Malone gave up three runs on six hits while striking out 10. Malone helped his cause at the plate as he scored three runs and drove in a run. McKenzie Betts had three hits with three RBIs, Corbin Truelove had two hits and two RBIs. Hunter Hinton also had two RBIs.

The Warriors (6-5, 3-2) got an another strong pitching performance on Tuesday from McKenzie Betts at EPC posted an 8-1 win over Marmaduke at Lepanto. Betts pitched a complete game allowing one run on five hits. He struck out eight and walked three. Byron Scales had two hits and two RBIs to lead EPC at the plate.

Trumann (8-6, 4-2 4A-3) picked up two wins this past Tuesday over Gosnell. Nate Maxwell picked up the win in game one giving up one run on three hits as the Wildcats won 2-1. Josh Evans broke a tie game with an RBI single in the top of the fifth inning. Jay-Ryan Woods picked up the win in game two as Trumann won another close one 5-4. Woods also collected two hit and two RBIs as Evans had two RBIs as well.

Bay posted a 18-7 win over Black Rock to move to 2-0 on the season. Kail Harris picked up the win for the Yellowjackets as he allowed seven runs on three hits while walking five and striking out 11. Harris collected four hits at the plate and drove in three runs on the day. Jake Martin had four hits, John Stephens and Dylan Rush both had three hits apiece.

Weiner (2-2, 1-2 1A-3) with a doubleheader sweep of Maynard this past Tuesday in Weiner. Grant Johnson got the win in game one as he struck out 10 batters in the 6-2 Cardinal win. In the second game, Wesley Creasey gave the Cardinals the 5-4 win with a walk-off home run.
