Marked Tree, EPC post big wins

The Marked Tree Indians (3-1, 1-0 2A-3) scored with 1:11 left in the game to come from behind and beat Salem 32-28 in high school football action. Brody McCrary hit Octavious Dean with a 21-yard pass for the game winning score. McCrary finished the night with 224 yards passing and three touchdowns. Dean had a touchdown rushing and receiving, McGee had a rushing touchdown as Daniel Rucker and Tyree Wofford each had a touchdown catch. Ramiro Rodriguez had a two-point pass reception.

EPC (4-0, 1-0 2A-3) remained undefeated on the season as they stopped Cross County with a goal-line stand with under two minutes in the game to preserve the win. Aaron Scales threw for 214 yards on the night with one touchdown and rushed for another touchdown. Byron Scales rushed for a touchdown and caught a two-point pass from his brother Aaron. Quinn Young had a touchdown catch on the night. Byron Scales finished with 14 tackles, Quinn Young had an interception and Paul Pilgrim recorded two sacks.

Harrisburg sent in no stats to the paper.
