Trumann (0-5, 0-2 4A-3) travelled to Westside this Friday night for senior high football action. After a close first half, the home team outscored the Wildcats 21-8 in the second half for a 49-28 win. Jesse Buchanan led the Wildcats with 148 yards rushing followed by Grayson Dye with 93 yards on the ground. Justin Liles scored two touchdowns for Trumann as Buchanan and Willie Moore each scored a touchdown. Moore led the defense with seven and a half tackles.

Marked Tree (4-1, 2-0 2A-3) got two second half scores from Cameron Mitchell, the last with just over four minutes left, to beat Cedar Ridge this past Friday night in Newark. Mitchell led the Indians in rushing with 123 yards and two touchdowns. Tevin McGee added 86 yards rushing and a touchdown for Marked Tree. Brody McCrary threw for 55 yards and a touchdown. Daniel Rucker had a touchdown reception on his only catch.

EPC (5-0, 2-0 2A-3) had to go to overtime to get past Walnut Ridge this past Friday night in Lepanto. Aaron Scales hit Quinn Young with a 26-yard touchdown pass on fourth down to put the Warriors ahead 34-28. Paul Pilgrim stepped in front of a Bobcat pass on third down of Walnut Ridge's possession to end the game. Aaron Scales had a huge game as he passed for 324 yards and three touchdown passes. He added 112 yards rushing with a touchdown also. Young had 136 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Seth Lacy and Trevor McDaniel both had a touchdown receiving. Byron Scales led the Warriors defense with 15 tackles. Pilgrim had 12 tackles and an interception as Aaron Scales had seven tackles and Trevor McDaniel had an interception.
