Officer Involved Shooting in Trumann
A Trumann Police Officer is on administrative leave following an officer involved shooting Oct 22. Trumann PD went to the home of Jacob Ashton Brown, 21, on Pine Street to serve a felony arrest warrant and a parole violation warrant. The felony warrant was issued by Poinsett County Sheriff's Office. According to Ron Martin, Criminal Investigator with PCSO, Brown is a registered Level 2 Sex Offender. Brown reportedly fled from local officers and subsequently pointed a gun in the direction of an officer who fired his service weapon and wounded Brown. Brown was flown to the MED in Memphis. His condition at this time is unknown.
