Marked Tree ousted by Carlisle in opening round of playoffs

Carlisle raced out to a 24-0 lead in the first quarter and the Indians couldn't recover as Marked Tree lost to Carlisle 38-6 in the opening round of the Class 2A state football playoffs this past Friday in Carlisle. The Indians finished their season at 6-5.

Brody McCrary led the Marked Tree offense completing 20 of 31 passes for 202 yards. McCrary also rushed for 23 yards and a touchdown. Kedrick Tyler had six catches for 72 yards, Daniel Rucker grabbed five balls for 47 yards and Tyre Wofford had 31 yards receiving on four catches.
