Dabney found not guilty

Tuesday, November 26, 2013

Marked Tree attorney Mike Dabney was found not guilty of charges of battery and false imprisonment at a trial in Harrisburg Oct. 24. District Judge Shannon Langston, Mississippi County District judge from Blytheville, presided over the trial after Judge Ron Hunter stepped aside to avoid a conflict of interest. The special prosecutor appointed was Will Thompson. The charges stemmed from incidents in Marked Tree in August. Dabney entered a plea of no contest for charges of violation of no contact order.

Following the trial Dabney said, "After a trial in Harrisburg I was found not guilty, which was a fair and just finding by the court. I look forward to the expansion of my law practice and will always be grateful to my friends, family and associates."
