TRUMANN - Mrs. Muriel Smith of Trumann died May 19, 2014 at River Chase Village in Gautier, Miss., at the age of 90. She was born in Trumann and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann before moving to Mississippi eleven years ago. She was a housewife and a member of Viva Drive Church of Christ. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Rex Clifford Smith; two sisters; three brothers; and her parents W.T. and Ollie Watkins Fain.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda (Richard) Wylie of Millington, Tenn., Janice (Jimmy) Campbell of Memphis, Tenn., Rhonda Woodard of Jonesboro, two sons, Calvin (Joan) Rutherford of Trumann and Clayton (Mary Kim) Smith of Brandon, Miss.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were May 23 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Clayton Smith, Mary Kim Smith and Nate Payne officiating. Music was provided by Doug Eltzroth. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery at Jonesboro.
Pallbearers were Nick Smith, Tadd Pitts, Eric Wylie, Hunter Wylie, Tommy Taylor and Lee Ray Pickrell.
