Municipal candidate filing complete for November election

Poinsett County municipal filings for the Nov. 4 election came to an end Friday, Aug. 15.

The following candidates filed to run in Trumann: Sheila Walters (incumbent), Debbie Cook, John Paul Goodman, Gary Hill, Barbara Lewallen, and Ken Stockton for Mayor; Marlene Hancock (incumbent), Molly Halsey, and Vicki Shipp for City Clerk/Treasurer; Bonnie Winkles (incumbent) for Alderman Ward 1 position 1; Ricky Atkins (incumbent) for Alderman Ward 1 position 2; Dwight England for Alderman Ward 2 position 1; Donnie England (incumbent) for Alderman Ward 2 position 2; Donnie Skaggs, Dana Speakmon, and Carl Wilson for Alderman Ward 3 position 1; Carol Waleszonia (incumbent), Nedra Cook, and Ronnie Thompson for Alderman Ward 3 position 2; Charles Goza Jr. for Alderman Ward 4 position 1; Mike Sullivan (incumbent) for Ward 4 position 2; James Baker (incumbent) for Alderman Ward 5 position 1; Jason Stewart (incumbent) and Jered Rolland for Alderman Ward 5 position 2.
