Marked Tree (2-2, 0-1 2A-3) loss their 2A-3 conference opener to Cross County this past Friday 30-0 in Marked Tree. Jaleel Lott led the Indians in rushing with 33 yards. Bailey Gilbert and D'Angelo Griffin Daniel each had an interception on defense.

Trumann (1-3, 0-1 4A-3) was blanked 42-0 by host Pocahontas this past Friday in the 4A-3 conference for both teams. Grayson Dye rushed for 62 yards to lead the Wildcats with Cain White chipping in 42 yards rushing. Dye was also the leading tackler with 8 stops as Alex Santos added 6 tackles and an interception. Mario Sifuentes recorded five tackles and had a quarterback sack on the night.

Harrisburg (1-3, 0-1 4A-3) fell to Cave City 34-29 in their 4A-3 conference opener this past Friday in Cave City. Dillon Russell ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns and added a touchdown reception. Joey McGill added 51 yards rushing while Connor Haag had 74 yards rushing. Cade Condra intercepted two passes for the Hornet's defense as Wade Lambright had nine tackles. Brandon Jones and McGill had eight tackles apiece on the night.

Trumann ran their record to 4-0 on the season as they beat Westside 24-14 last Thursday night. Cade Gartman led the team in rushing with 159 yards and two touchdowns. Koltan Jones added 46 yards on the ground with a touchdown. Preston Heavener led the defense with three and a half tackles.

Marked Tree posted a 40-14 win over Midland last Thursday in junior high football action in Marked Tree. Paul Coleman led a balance rushing attack with 41 yards and two touchdowns. Julian Booker finished with 39 yards on the ground and a touchdown as Jamiro Anderson chipped in 34 yards rushing and a touchdown. Booker passed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on the night.
