TRUMANN - Mrs. Virginia Hare Penna of Trumann died October 11, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Place in Jonesboro at the age of 82. Mrs. Penna was born in Prentiss County, Miss., but had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was retired from Salant & Salant and Trumann Public School District and a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church in Trumann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ludie M. Penna, Sr.; one son, Chris Penna; two brothers, Bill Hare and LeRoy Hare and her parents.

She is survived by three sons, Ludie M. "Buddy" (Betty) Penna, Jr. of Trumann, James (Debbie) Penna of Bay Minette, Ala., and William (Karen) Penna of Brandon, Miss.; one brother, Randall Hare of Booneville, Miss.; two sisters, Mildred Clark of Capshaw, Ala., and Bobbie Bane of Springfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were October 15 at Martin Hill Baptist Church in Booneville, Miss., with Bro. Rodney Brazil officiating. Burial was in Martin Hill Cemetery in Booneville, Miss.

Pallbearers were her grandsons and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Martin Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
