The Warriors got on the board first as Scales took what looked like an early snap and found Clay Malone for a 37-yard touchdown pass with 10:15 left in the opening quarter. Kyler Gordon's two-point try was no good leaving the score 6-0 EPC. England fumbled the ball on their first play of the game as Zach Maddox fell on it for EPC at the Lions 20-yard line. The Warriors capitalized on the turnover as Scales scored on two-yard run with 7:07 left. Scales found Quin Young for the two-point conversion to make it 14-0 Warriors. The teams exchanged punts before England drove to the EPC 9-yard line before turning the ball over on downs with 1:22 left. The score stood at 14-0 after one quarter of play.

EPC electrified the crowd on the first play of the second quarter as Scales hit Quin Young with a 91-yard touchdown pass. The two-point conversion was good making it 22-0 EPC with 11:47 left. England got on the board on their next possession with a touchdown and two-point conversion to make it 22-8 EPC. EPC answered with a Scales to Malone five-yard touchdown pass with 6:58 left in the first half. Gordon ran in the two-point try to make it 30-8 Warriors. The EPC defense forced a turnover on downs only to punt the ball back to the Lions. Tavius Dancy broke up the England pass attempt to force a turnover on downs with 3:10 left in the second. The Warriors drove 70-yards in just under two minutes with Scales scoring on a seven-yard run. Gordon ran in the two-point conversion to make it 38-8 with 1:14 left. The Lions added a score with 14 seconds left before halftime. With the two-point conversion it set the halftime score at 38-16 EPC.

Matt Ferguson broke through for a big quarterback sack that forced England to punt with 10:31 left in the third quarter. The teams traded punts before the Warriors struck again. Scales found Malone for a 33-yard touchdown pass with 4:53 left. The two-point try was no good to make the score 44-16 EPC. EPC stopped England on downs before fumbling the ball back to the Lions as the quarter came to a close with the score staying the same.

The fourth quarter was mostly a trade of possessions before England scored with 4:03 left. The two-point try was good making it 44-24 Warriors and that is how the game would end.

"A huge win, they were so athletic," were EPC head coach Brian Weathers' first thoughts after the game. "We were worried about their big plays all night and we came out and played physical. We got off to a good start, opened up the offense a little bit. I was so proud of our defense tonight," Weathers added. "A big win for this senior class on their home field."

Scales passed for 200 yards and added 49 yards rushing on the night. Gordon finished with 139 yards rushing as Quin Young had 104 yards receiving and a touchdown with Malone grabbing four balls for 88 yards and three touchdowns.

Scales had a big night on defense with 20 tackles (14 solo) as Ferguson finished with 12 tackles for the Warriors.
