Trumann Police patrols to increase

Thursday, December 4, 2014

Trumann Police Chief Chad Henson announced that starting Dec. 4 police patrols will be tripled on second and third shifts due to the recent rash of breaking and entering and burglaries.

"Special units from the day shift will move to the night shifts for the next several weeks. Citizens will see a lot more police cars and uniforms including foot patrol especially at night," Chief Henson said.

Henson reminds citizens crime prevention is left to the property owners. He said criminals take the path of least resistance, so locking homes and cars makes it more difficult for thieves to take things. Valuables should also be removed from cars.
